What’s your name? School or Organization?

Dr. David D. Timony
Temple University, Department of Psychological Studies in Education
Moore College of Art and Design, Department of Education

What’s your interest in higher education?

I have been teaching for nearly 20 years with almost ten of those in higher ed. My primary place in higher education is teacher preparation so I see my role as a cyclical one. My students may be my K-12 or higher ed colleagues some day. It is necessary for me to model excellent teaching processes throughout that experience for my students regardless of the context. My students deserve an excellent course, but I also want some of them to be thinking about working in higher education once they have spent their nickel in their industry of choice.

If you led a HigherEdCamp session, what would the title be?

Teacher (mis)Behaviors Effect Everything

What do you do to have fun?

Time with family, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Boxing, Home Improvement

I would attend that session! Sounds interesting :-) An inside peak from a professor’s perspective.
